As usual, Willemin-Macodel is building on the company’s proven solutions to take them to new levels. The 408MTS therefore incorporates the improvements of the 40 series unveiled last year, including the company’s latest design codes that offer maximum user comfort coupled with the highest performance.

A compact machining center that offers more

In developing the new 40 series presented in 2021, the company’s engineers had already made prowess by integrating a tool magazine with 72 positions, even managing to reduce the dimensions of the machine a little further. They are now going even further by integrating a 2nd motor spindle on a 2nd machining station as well as a 2nd dedicated tool magazine, without impacting the footprint of the machine. The 2 independent machining stations offer a highly productive solution on less than 3 m2. Willemin-Macodel has not made any concessions on the quality of milling. In the first operation, we find the high-performance 42,000 rpm motor spindle that has made the reputation of the 40 and 50 series machining centres. In the second operation, Willemin-Macodel integrated a compact motor spindle that allows high-speed machining up to 45,000 rpm, which offers comparable milling performance on both stations.

The tool grinding machine HELITRONIC VISION 400 L with C.O.R.E.-Technology produces rotationally symmetrical tools and production parts of complex geometries in high-precision production. It handles tools with a diameter of 3 to 315 mm, a tool length up to 420 mm and a piece weight of up to 50 kg.

The HELITRONIC G 200 tool grinding machine impresses with an innovative machine concept with a footprint of less than 2,3 sqm. The machine offers tool grinding at its best: Production and re-sharpening of rotationally symmetrical tools in the diameter range of 1 to 125 mm, with a maximum tool length of 235 mm and a tool weight up to 12 kg. Maximum grinding wheel diameter is 150 mm.

Synthetic high-performance grinding oils for the best surfaces!

Grinding oils in our SintoGrind series are high-performance cooling lubricants made of synthetic base oils, free of chlorine and heavy metals, for high-speed grinding processes that require extreme precision and optimum cooling.

SintoGrind products are free of aromatics and contain additives with a high pressure absorption capacity. When SintoGrind is used, the selected additives ensure clean and abrasive grinding wheels. The applied tangential force is effectively reduced and, together with surfactants, superb cooling, wetting and lubricating effectiveness is achieved. The extraction of cobalt during tungsten carbide grinding is minimized due to the special composition.

SintoGrind grinding oils have low rates of evaporation and misting, are extremely low foaming and have excellent rinsing and cooling capacity due to their low viscosity. Furthermore, they are absolutely shear-resistant and extremely resistant to ageing. Fluid life of more than 10 years is often possible and with optimal filtration it can be used longer without any problems.

SintoGrind can be used for all high speed grinding operations such as thread and groove grinding, and is well suited to machining non-ferrous metals, CBN and PCD, chrome-nickel steels, HSS, hard metal, glass, Inconel and zirconium oxide.

SintoGrind is ideal for machines that operate with high cooling lubricant volume flows and those that operate with high flushing pressures. SintoGrind can be easily filtered with all common filter systems and is particularly suitable for edge gap filters.
